Our Team

Our wider Kidd Aitken team is already deeply engrained within the fabric of many law firms. This includes, should you need it, the delivery of said support in seven different languages.

Matthew Cripsey

Director & Sustainability Consultant

Matt holds an MSc degree in Environment and Sustainability and was the recipient of the 2022 Birkbeck Sustainable Futures Prize. Motivated by a desire to address the climate and biodiversity crises, he co-founded Kidd Aitken ESG alongside Daniel and Jacob. He has worked with leading law firms internationally for several years as a managing consultant with Kidd Aitken Legal Marketing.

Matt’s interests include translation and writing. His translation of
L’Angoisse de Penser, a text on twentieth-century French thinkers, was published by University of Minnesota Press. He is also a keen cyclist and birdwatcher but is most at home walking, climbing, and camping amongst the UK's highest mountains — a passion that stokes his drive to support nature’s protection and restoration.

Daniel Kidd

Director

Previously Editor of the first three editions of Chambers Asia Pacific, Daniel founded Kidd Aitken ESG and its sister consultancy, Kidd Aitken Legal Marketing. Now the world’s largest legal directories consultancy, Kidd Aitken provides legal directory, marketing, and communications support to many of the world’s leading law firms.

Based on his experience of working with Partners, as well as marketing and business development teams, Daniel recognised the need to offer law firms a tailored and proactive response to the ever-increasing demands from clients, for environmental and social initiatives and compliance from their outside counsel.

Jacob Aitken

Director

Jacob is a founder of Kidd Aitken ESG and its sister consultancy, Kidd Aitken Legal Marketing, now the world’s largest legal directories consultancy. Based on his 17 years’ experience of working with leading law firms across the globe, Jacob recognised the need to offer law firms tailored solutions to the ever-increasing demands from clients for ESG compliance. Jacob was Editor of the first three editions of Chambers Latin America.

Passionate about the environment and conservation, he is a member of the National Trust, the RSPB, and The Angling Trust — a non-profit organisation leading the fight to protect Britain’s waterways from pollution.
